Our history

- April 11, 1967 -
Tecnocom borns as IB-Mei Spanish, a company owned 50% by Banco Urquijo, and the owner of IB-Mei Italy. The main business was manufacture of electric motors for washing machines.

 

- Years 70 -
Company stands as a European leader and first independent manufacturer in Europe. At the end of  this decade the Banco Urquijo becomes owner of 100% of the shares.

 

- Years 80 -
At middle eighties, one independent group of investors led by D. Luis Solera acquired the company. In April 1987 the Company comes to the stock exchange and the group has just diversified and acquired a new name: IB-Mei Corporation. As well, it forms a new company, IB-Mei, with the assets involved in the manufacture of engines.

 

- Years 90 -
Beginning 1998 the IB-Mei Corporation became to focus on business telecommunications. So its acquires 100% Euroinsta Group, formed by companies that were specialized in engineering, telecommunications and
design and installation of equipment for radio telephony.

 

- 2000 -
With the change of milenium company acquired its current name, Tecnocom Telecommunications and Energy, SA It was when Tecnocom also became a company founder and member of the New Market Index,
for the recruitment of securities belonging to companies in sectors technologically pointers or activities with high growth potential in the Spanish stock exchange.

 

- 2005 -
Tecnocom decided to oriented its activity development to the sectors linked to Telecommunications and Information Technologies, which represents the output of the activity in the manufacture of motors for home appliances.

 

- Year 2006 -
Tecnocom began a process of corporate growth and a new business project completely focused in Telecommunications with the aim of to be the ICT leader market in Spain. Therefore, now integrated into the Group Tecnocom companies Eurocomercial Informatics and Communications, SA, Grupo Scorpion Group and Open Solutions.

 

- Year 2007 -
Tecnocom along with the growth strategy of becoming the company of reference in Iberia (Spain and Portugal) and Latin America, signed the agreement for the acquisition of Getronics Iberia.
